Teledyne DALSA is one of the largest companies serving the machine vision industry and is unique in that it is vertically integrated; from sensor design and manufacture, through image capture and processing, to software for imaging optimisations and analysis.

Their camera range offers powerful, innovative CCD and CMOS image capture solutions combining industry-leading performance with cutting-edge feature sets and value. Teledyne DALSA cameras offer unmatched combinations of speed, response, and dynamic range in area, line scan and TDI line scan technology. With features that include 12-bit output, CameraLink and GigE Vision standards, programmability, built-in configurable flatfield correction, and onboard camera diagnostics, Teledyne DALSA cameras help lower production costs, improve quality and yield, and reduce time to market.

Line scan imaging

Offering the industries widest range of line scan cameras with leading sensitivity and speed Teledyne DALSA line scan cameras offer line lengths up to 16K pixels including TDI and quad line technology.

Area imaging

Packed with advanced features Teledyne DALSA area scan cameras incorporate the robust Trigger-to-Image-Reliability (T2IR) technology developed over many years experience of image acquisition. Utilising both the latest 3rd party sensors and their own sensors, a camera for almost every application is available.

Simple camera set-up and easy functionality

Teledyne DALSA cameras come with Sapera LT, a field-proven image acquisition and control Software Development Kit (SDK). With more than 500,000 installations worldwide, Sapera LT SDK is available free of charge for use with Teledyne DALSA cameras and frame grabbers, and includes support for Trigger to Image Reliability, TurboDrive along with CamExpert, an intuitive graphical interface for quick setup and configuration.

Teledyne DALSA cameras also come with a free runtime of Sapera Essentials that include many machine vision functions for application development.

Boa Spot colour vision sensor enhances automated inspection

The new colour versions of the BOA Spot smart vision sensor from Teledyne DALSA provide even greater versatility for single point industrial part and assembly verification. Colour training, matching and verification capabilities have been added to the existing embedded inspection tools. With easy factory integration and a highly competitive price point, Boa Spot Colour allows automated vision inspection to be added at almost any point in the production line.

New polarisation line scan camera reveals unique properties of materials

The new Teledyne DALSA Piranha4 Polarization line scan camera represents a breakthrough in machine vision by revealing non-visible properties of materials that cannot be detected with conventional imaging. With three independent polarisation detection channels, this innovative camera enables high-speed, real-time detection of birefringence, stress, surface roughness, film thickness, and other physical properties.

New tool simplifies user interface creation in Sherlock

Teledyne DALSA has added a new easy-to use GUI builder tool to its Sherlock advanced machine vision software platform. This greatly simplifies the creation of a custom front ends using a simple drag and drop approach.
