In the development of the CMOS-based Genie TS camera series, Teledyne DALSA placed special emphasis on the maximum image quality, high functionality and a high dynamic range of their company CMOS sensors. These features have now been incorporated in the new colour versions Genie TS Colour, and are available as of now. The range of these colour area scan cameras includes sensors with 5, 8 and 12 MPixesl. Meanwhile, the Genie TS Colour has proved itself in initial applications. The features of this extremely high-performance series of GigE vision and GenICam-compatible cameras are being extended continuously.
Teledyne DALSA is also extending its range of line scan cameras, and since the end of last year the dual line scan camera Piranha4 Colour 8k is available to users as high speed model with up to 50 kHz line frequency and 2x 8192 Pixel resolution. As with all cameras in the Piranha4 series, this new introduction also operates with the proven dual line CMOS sensors manufactured by Teledyne DALSA. The red and blue filters alternate on the first line of the P4 8k's sensor. The directly adjacent second line is masked with green filters. This makes this camera especially suitable for rapid colour detection and sorting applications.
At the end of last year, Teledyne DALSA presented its latest developments in three lines with the line scan cameras Piranha4 Colour "Tri Linear". To increase line frequency, these cameras employ CMOS technology and are available as a 2k variant with 14.08 µm Pixel size or a 4k-variant with 10.56 µm Pixel size. The maximum line frequency of both variants is 70 kHz and thus enables new application options, for example, in the fields of electronics, printing or pharmaceuticals. The tri-linear Piranha4 Colour cameras represent an extremely high-performance technology with high line frequencies and resolutions of 2k and 4k. The image data are transmitted via CameraLink Full. A progressive GenICam interface allows easier set-up and user-friendly control and integration of the camera.
Our experts would be pleased to assist you in selecting the optimal line scan camera for your application.
